Soi 11 is a great location, though this particulary hotel is right down the end, so a fair walk to Sukhumvit road. The hotel is very close to two of the trendiest tourist nightclubs (Bed club and q bar). The hotel has a 'funky' feel - I would describe it as a very posh hostel with lots of communal areas, computers to use, pool table etc. The corridoors are nice and the decor decent. The rooms are modern and have nice touches such as a 'real' coffee maker and being able to plug almost any device into the 42" tv - assuming you travel with you connection wires! The reception staff were average, but the 'concierge' and security outside the front were excellent. But...see below.
I have stayed in over 30 hotels in Bangkok. This is a 3 star hotel trying to be 4 star, and unfairly charging 4 star prices. The rooms are modern but small by Thai standards. Whilst money has been spent on a big tv, big bed and things mentioned above, some basics have been neglected. The fridge was tiny and not at all cold (warm drinks), the shower took 5-10 mins to get warm and there was no remote for the aircon (control panel by door) and the lighting controls were strange and had a mid of their own. The room was not dated, but well worn. Most annoyingly (and all too common in bkk) the windows did not open (totally sealed), so trying to dry clothes (was there at Songkran!) or get some fresh air in the room was impossible. There was a strange smell always present in the room due to this. Finally the door let in too much sound from the hallway. Quite simply you can get better for your money.
good wifi in the hotel nice game machines and pooltable
food is a bit expensive lobby and elevator are too cold
Being asked to give money over on arrival so I can put all food and drink on my bill as I was only there for one night I didnt think that neccessary but they insisted I have never been asked for this before and will not be staying again with this hotel
A hi-tech hotel with free wifi everywhere, large flat screen tv and even an iPad concierge :) Rooms are modern and nice with a good large bed and a view of the skyline. Easy to reach the airport with the Airportlink sky train.
The aera is really busy with a lot of hotels, bars and restaurant. It could be nice if you want to go out (the Bed Superclub is just across the street!) but otherwise you'll feel it too touristic (more expensive restaurant prices, tourists everywhere,...).
Good location; Trendy hotel in the heart of Sukhumvit, with lots of bars and restaurants nearby; Walking distance to the Nana bts station; Spacious, clean, modern and well equipped rooms.
The swimming pool area doesn't get much sun. Perhaps early morning only, and then it disappears behind a tower.
Overall good experience, we arrived at 9am from an early internal flight ask at reception if we could pay a premium to check in early they upgraded our room and let us check in for an extra 300b++ per night very happy!! Other then that the gadgets, free pool, lots of nice open spaces - a different type of hotel.
Mainly the prices, althought I was happy with the upgrade price everything else was over the top here compared to other hotels at the same level in bkk.
Modern facilities, nice view from the rooms, pool side
There is one thing - not really a hotel issue but still - in front of the hotel there are lots of "friendly" taxi drivers, who offer you "cheapcheap" rates. Of course they try to rip u off, as normal rates are many times lower. If u are asking the stuff to get a taxi for u, they will get one of "cheapcheap" guys that are standing in front of the hotel. So, if a guest not aware of that, there is a strong chance he will pay 5x the normal rate for the taxi (the one that was ordered by hotel). Its probably normal in Bangkok, but it would be nice to know that the taxi that is ordered by that hotel will use the meter and u will gate a normal/fair rate.
New Hotel very cleane and comfort. The coffee machain so good, breakfast many choises. will stay next time and recommend it for freinds and family.
The staff was very very very rude.
Location, cleanliness & good value for money.
The design which reflects a philoshopy
location is OK
Service is disaster compare to other hotels with warm Thai hospitality. The front office is extremely slow and need to wait for everything, check in, check out, room card didn't work 4 times during my 4 days stay. Low pressure in shower and sometimes not hot water. But the best part was they charge me 2,000Baht for smoking in non smoking room. I am non smoker, however I had a visit which smoke and light up a cigarette in the room. First they say its cost of cleaning the room, 67$ for cleaning given the room itself cost 70$?:-) I didn't want to argue, however I asked for a bill, they provide me a bill saying 2,000Bt for miscellaneous charges. When ask manager to explain, the answer was he is off and the GM is off too. FO staff then trying to explain in very rude way that it is a penalty I have to pay! However, there was no information whatsoever in the room that it is a non smoking room and penalty of 2,000Bt will apply if someone will smoke.
Trendy new hotel, friendly staff. Great coffee machine. 5 minutes walk to nana sky train.
Nitpicking I know but no toothbrush in bathroom or matches (I was in a smoking room).
modern, trendy & good value for money
Very nice hotel. Our flight back home was only leaving in the nighttime, but we still got to leave our bags a whole day in the hotel and were able to take a shower too after checking out.
This is a hip and trendy hotel with great facilities and deco. The location was quite far into the Sukumvit 11 street. It's good that they provide a Tuk Tuk service from the hotel to the main road (where the Nana bts station is). Along the way back to the hotel at night, there were food stalls, 7-11 and bars along the street which was convenient but was also crowded. The king bed was huge and the room was spacious and clean. The staffs were very kind to write me a Birthday card as I was staying over on my birthday. Overall, the service was good.
